The Color of Pomegranates

Wow. The Color of Pomegranates, a 1960s Armenian firm, is weird and wild and I can't believe I had never seen it before. It is almost like a series of tableaux over poetry by the 18th-century  troubadour whose biography it purports to be. It's a vibe and I love it. My content warning: animal sacrifice. Somehow I keep ending up watching movies where animals are slaughtered and as a vegetarian, it's not great! BUT this movie is amazing. I learned very little about the life of the troubadour. I absolutely loved it.
